When Categorize Plus is installed in Outlook 2007 items, then the Categorize
Plus Menu can be used to categorize the Outlook item simply by selecting a
Category Tag Menu
Item from the Menu Hierarchy. When a Category Tag
Menu Item is selected from the menu hierarchy, then Categorize Plus reads the
categories that are contained in the criteria field of the selected Menu
Item. Furthermore, Categorize Plus will also read the categories in each
of the parent Menu Items in the multi-level menu hierarchy. Categorize
Plus then uses these categories to categorize the selected Outlook item.
This is illustrated in the example shown below. For more information on
how to create Category Tag Menu Items and add them to the Categorize
Plus Menu, then please refer to the Building Menus help topic. The Categorize Plus Menu Group that is installed in the Fluent Ribbon also
contains options to Copy and Paste categories between Outlook items and to
categorize items by selecting from a list of Recent
Categorizations. Tip: Pressing the Shift key while
categorizing will modify the default behavior to either append or replace
categories. The default behavior is configured using the Append or Replace with Shift Key option that is configured
under the Other
Settings tab in the Categorize Plus Options
dialog. Note: The Categorize Plus Menu will appear in the selected
Outlook item only if the option is enable to install the toolbar in the selected
Outlook item type. For information regarding how to select which Outlook
item types to install the Categorize Plus Menu, then please refer to the Toolbar
Menus Options help topic. Additional information that applies to this Help
