In Outlook 2007, it is possible to assign colors to categories. This is
done using the Outlook Color Categories Dialog. In Categorize Plus, colors
can also be assigned using the drop down color picker that is available inside
both the Menu Builder and the Category
Editor. The information below explains how to display the color picker
inside the Menu Builder. Select the Category Editor Color Picker help topic to learn how to
display the color picker inside the Category Editor. In addition, if you

Outlook 2007.
Important Notes for using the Color
Picker inside the Menu Builder:
- The feature to assign colors to categories is only available in Outlook
2007 and later versions. This feature is not available in Outlook 2003.
- The color picker can only be displayed for Category Tags and does not
apply to Email Address, Custom Filter or Custom Search menu items.
Select the Menu
Items help topic to learn more about the various types of menu items
used in Categorize Plus.
- A menu criteria must first be entered before the color picker can be
displayed. Select the Category Tag Criteria help topic to
learn how to enter menu criteria for Category Tags.
- In order to enable all of the built-in features associated with using a
color category inside Outlook, Categorize Plus will covert the criteria that
is entered in the Category Tag to an Outlook Category and then add the
category to the Outlook Master Categories list. Categorize Plus will
then assign the selected color to this Outlook Category. This is done so
that the selected color will always be associated with Outlook items that are
categorized using this Category Tag. It is important to note, the menu
criteria for Category Tags will be automatically added to the Outlook Master
Categories only if a color is assigned. If a color is not assigned, then
the menu criteria will not be automatically added to the Outlook Master
Categories.
