Categorize Plus provides a means for categorizing, filtering and searching
Outlook items so that information can be found quickly with the fewest possible
keystrokes. This is accomplished by employing drop down menus that contain
category, filter and search criteria in the form of a selectable Menu
Hierarchy. There are three possible Categorize Plus menus that can be
installed in the Categorize Plus Toolbar. These include the Categorize
Menu, the Filter Menu and the Search Menu. The Categorize Menu is used to
categorize Outlook items, while the Filter and Search menus are used to filter
and search Outlook items using a wide range of filter and search criteria. The Categorize and Filter Menus are installed when using either Outlook 2003
or 2007, while the Search Menu is available only when a compatible search engine
is installed in Outlook. Categorize Plus is compatible with a variety of
search engines including the Outlook 2007 Instant Search search engine, the
Taglocity search engine, and the Lookeen search engine. If any of these
search engines are detected, then the option to install the Search Menu will be
enabled in Categorize Plus. The Outlook 2007 Instant Search search
engine is available only in Outlook 2007 and comes pre-installed. The
Taglocity and Lookeen search engines are available whenever the Taglocity
or Lookeen add-ins are installed in Outlook.
Both Taglocity and Lookeen are Outlook add-ins that are sold
separately and both are compatible with Outlook 2003 and 2007. For more
information regarding the use of these alternative search engines, then please
refer to the Search Engines help topic. Categorize Plus is available in a Free, Lite, Standard and Professional
version. Please refer to the Feature Comparison for a complete
list of features available in each version. The features explained in this
help documentation only applies if the feature explained is available in the
installed version of the software.
