Expandable List Combo Boxes Options

There are four options for configuring the default behavior of Expandable List Combo Boxes when the drop down list of the combo boxes are expanded. Category Combo Boxes, Filter Combo Boxes and Search Combo Boxes all contain options in their drop down lists to either expand or retract a list of Menu Items that are the siblings, children or parents of the current Menu Item. This allows the user to quickly change the Menu Item that is associated with the combo box for one of the sibling, children or parent Menu Items in the Menu Hierarchy. The options below are used to configure the default behavior for these expandable list options.

The Expandable List Combo Boxes options are configured using the Toolbar Combo Boxes Options page as shown in the illustration below. Options for Configuring the Expandable List Combo Boxes

Hide the sibling list for new combo boxes
This option will initially hide or display the list of sibling Menu Items and add either an Expand List or Retract List option to the drop down list for all new combo boxes.

Hide the sibling list after each selection
This option will automatically hide or display the list of sibling Menu Items and add either an Expand List or Retract List option to the drop down list after a drop down list item is selected.

Hide the children and parent lists for all new combo boxes
This option will initially hide or display the list of children and parent Menu Items and will add either Expand Child List and Expand Parent List or add Retract Child List and Retract Parent List options to the drop down list for all new combo boxes.

Hide the children and parent lists after each selection
This option will automatically hide or display the list of children and parent Menu Items and will add either Expand Child List and Expand Parent List or add Retract Child List and Retract Parent List options to the drop down list after a drop down list item is selected.
