Each category displayed in the Category Editor can be edited by placing
the category into Edit Mode. This is done by double-clicking on the
category. Once in Edit Mode, the text of the category can be edited.
Replacing Categories using either Outlook Master
Categories or Menu Builder Categories While in Edit Mode, the currently selected category can be replaced with an
existing Outlook category by opening the Outlook Category Picker dialog.
The Category Picker dialog is displayed by clicking on the action button
to the right of the category as shown in the illustration below. The currently selected category can also be replaced by an existing
Categorize Plus Category Tag category by selecting a category from
the combo box drop down list that is also indicated in the illustration
below. The drop down list includes a complete list of all the individual
Category Tag categories that are contained in the currently
loaded Menu Builder menu file.
For more information regarding Category Tag Menu Items, then please refer to
the Menu Items
help topic. For more information regarding the categories assigned to
Category Tags, then please refer to the Category Tag Criteria help
topic. Note: The category picker action button and the
category drop down list will only appear when the category is placed in Edit
Mode by double-clicking on the category. Applying Changes If the text of a category is changed while in Edit Mode, then the changes
can be applied to the currently selected Outlook items by selecting the
Apply Categories to Selected Item(s) command from the Category Editor Menu
Commands. The changes made during Edit Mode, will only be applied to
items that contained the original category. For example, in the illustration below, the category titled "Categorize
Plus" has a solid green check box indicating that this category is contained
in some, but not all of the currently selected Outlook items. If the
text of this category were changed and then the changes were applied to the
currently selected Outlook items, then each item that contains the
original category titled "Categorize Plus" will receive the changes, but
the items that do not contain this category will not be
changed. See Also Category
