It would be good if you could add directions on the registration form for the password requirements. I almost gave up registering as this is what occurred:

1) Entered the data, submitted, found out an avatar is required.
2) Picked an avatar, submitted, found out the password was wiped out with the first error (didn't bother to scroll up and check).
3) Entered the password, submitted, found out the avatar selection is lost if there is an error.
4) Entered the password, reselected an avatar, submitted and found out there is a password length requirement.
5) Entered a password with the right length, reselected the avatar, submitted, found out there are capitalization and other password requirements.
6) Entered a new password with explicitives to express my mood at this point, reselected an avatar, submitted and finally succeeded.

More direction about passwords and preserving avatars across errors would be helpful!

Thank-you for your feedback!  Based on this feedback I have made the following improvements to the registration process...

  • Entered the data, submitted, found out an avatar is required.
A default avatar is now assigned for each new user.  Therefore, this problem should no longer occur.
  • Picked an avatar, submitted, found out the password was wiped out with the first error (didn't bother to scroll up and check).
The registration page now verifies the password as the password is typed and a warning is displayed when it is missing.  Therefore, this problem should no longer occur.
  • Entered the password, submitted, found out the avatar selection is lost if there is an error.
This problem is solved by adding the feature of a default avatar as explained above.
  • Entered the password, reselected an avatar, submitted and found out there is a password length requirement.
Again, this problem is solved by the addition of an auto validation of the password as it is typed.
  • Entered a password with the right length, reselected the avatar, submitted, found out there are capitalization and other password requirements.
The 'strong' password requirement has now been reduced.  Special characters are no longer required.
  • Entered a new password with explicitives to express my mood at this point, reselected an avatar, submitted and finally succeeded.
I apologize profusely for the inconvenience.  And thank you for your feedback, especially since it has enabled me to improve the user experience.
