Author
The term "Author" as used in
this License Agreement applies to Jon Zimmerman of
VeranoSoft. Jon Zimmerman is the ordinal author and
the sole owner of all copyrights and intellectual property
rights of this software.
Trial User
The term "Trial User" as used in
this License Agreement applies to any individual that uses
the Software and has not purchased the Software
License.
Purchaser
The term "Purchaser" as used in
this License Agreement applies to any individual that has
purchased the Software License.
Use
The term "Use" as used in this
License Agreement applies whenever the Software is
installed on a computer and the Trial User or Purchaser
have access to run the installed software on that
computer.
Activation Code
The term "Activation Code" as
used in this License Agreement applies to a serial number
issued to you by the Author to activate and Use the
Software.
Free Activation Code
The term "Free Activation Code"
as used in this License Agreement is limited to the
following Activation Code only. The Free Activation
Code is provided to the Trial User and Purchaser by the
Author free of charge.
Free Activation
Code: 0000-0000-0000-0000-0000
Freeware License Grant
The Author grants the Trial User
and Purchaser a license to unlimited Use of the Freeware
Features of the Software. The Freeware Features are
those features that are enabled whenever the software is
activated using the Free Activation Code.
Trial User License Grant
The Author grants the Trial User
a license to Use the Software for a 30-day trial
period. After the 30-day trial period has ended, then
the Trial User must either purchase the Software, or
activate the software using the Free Activation Code, or
uninstall the Software from all computers to which they
have access to Use the Software.
Purchaser License Grant
The Author grants the Purchaser
a license to unlimited Use of the Software. The
Purchaser is licensed to Use the Software on up to two
computers. To Use the Software on more than two
computers will require purchasing additional licenses.
Ownership
The Software is owned and
copyrighted by Jon Zimmerman. The Freeware License,
Trial User License and the Purchaser License confer no
title nor ownership in the Software and are not a sale of
any rights in the Software.
Copies and Adaptations
The Purchaser and the Trial User
may make copies or adaptations of the Software for archival
purposes or when copying or adaptation is an essential step
in the authorized Use of the Software. The Purchaser
or Trial User must reproduce all copyright notices in the
original Software on all copies or adaptations. The
Purchaser or Trial User may not copy the Software onto any
bulletin board or similar distribution system.
No Disassembly or Decryption
The Purchaser and the Trial User
may not disassemble or decompile the Software unless they
obtain prior written consent from the Author. In some
jurisdictions, consent may not be required for limited
disassembly or decompilation. Upon request, the
Purchaser or the Trial User will provide the Author with
reasonably detailed information regarding any disassembly
or decompilation. The Purchaser and the Trial User
may not decrypt the Software unless decryption is a
necessary part of the operation of the Software.
Transfer
The Purchaser License will
automatically terminate upon any transfer of the
Software. Upon transfer, the Purchaser must deliver
the Software, including any copies and related
documentation, to the transferee. The transferee must
accept these License Terms as a condition to the
transfer.
Termination
The Author may terminate the
Purchaser or Trial User license upon notice for failure to
comply with any of these License Terms. Upon
termination, the Purchaser or Trial User must immediately
destroy the Software, together with all copies, adaptations
and merged portions in any form.
Export Requirements
The Purchaser and Trial User may
not export or re-export the Software or any copy or
adaptation in violation of any applicable laws or
regulations.
Limited Warranty
The Author warrants only that
the media upon which the Software is furnished will be free
from defects in material or workmanship under normal use
and service for a period of thirty (30) days.
