Immediately after the Categorize Plus
add-in is installed in Microsoft®
Outlook®, the Categorize Plus menus contain only the
default menu items. The default menus include the
Categorize Plus
Standard Filter Menu and the Categorize Plus Standard Search
Menu. Both menus are pre-configured with a wide
selection of standard filter and search criteria.
In addition, the Categorize Plus menus can be customized by
adding user defined menu items that are also used to
categorize, filter and search Outlook items. These menu
items are created using a full featured Menu Builder and each
menu item can be customized by adding user defined category,
filter and search criteria.
Once created, these menu items are used to either categorize
Outlook items or to add filter and search combo boxes to the
Categorize Plus toolbar. Depending on the menu item
selected, these combo boxes either filter Outlook views or add
search criteria to the Outlook 2007 Instant Search
window. In addition, each of these combo boxes can be
easily combined using logical AND, OR and NOT conjunctions to
create complex filter and search criteria.
The flash movie below demonstrates how to create menu items
and how to use the newly created menu items to categorize,
filter and search for Outlook items.
